JESS WALLACE
THEATRE ARTIST AND EDUCATOR

Jess Wallace is a third year MFA Candidate at Utah State University. She is excited to graduate in May of 2022 with her MFA in Costume and Projection Design. After receiving her BFA in 2015 in Costume Design, she took a break from school to travel and work professionally in regional theatre. During her time as a freelancer she also got married, had a couple of kids, and discovered a passion for education. Local theatre teachers often called upon her to mentor high school theatre students in design, acting and direction. She pursued graduate school to open the doors for a career in higher education. At Utah State, she has taught undergraduate students and faculty in methods of Design and Technology. Over the years, she's worked as a Designer, Cutter/Draper, Stitcher, Crafts Artisan, Actress, Illustrator, and Playwright for various theatre companies big and small. She's eager to begin this next chapter of her career as a Designer, Mentor, and Educator.
